Another Day

Good evening, sorry for my lack of attention to my blog. I've been a very busy bee this past week.
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne and went to the Lexus Marquee at Flemington Racecourse (Melbourne cup day). OH MY... The food! The food was delicious. All the different combinations of food...
I got to see many interviews with Rose Byrne, caught a glimpse at Phoebe Tonkin, and had an amazing chat with the interior designer of the Lexus LF-LC, Ben Chang.

Moving on, here is a sneak peek into the song I'll be recording soon:

Another Day

Verse 1

Go outside to feed the cold
Numbing kind of helps
But the coldest I can be
Gives me the instinct to survive

A painless death, I think, I plan
I want it to suffice
But people are so keen on
Giving me stupid advice

I know what I want
And I want it to be quick
Starting now I know it's time
To let go of my grip

I'm consumed by all these guilty pleasures
Feelings are fading away

I cannot feel the cold so now I feel it's time
To not let drawn into another day

That is the first verse of the lyrics I'll be recording with piano accompaniment. The meaning of this verse should be pretty self-explanatory!

I'll also give you another sneak peak into a song I wrote a while back, but am yet to add music.

Flames to Reminisce

Intro, V1, Chorus

Turning around
I'm facing the ground

Dead as dead can be
But I'm not free

Buried six feet deep
Though I'm surfacing

Through your reflection from the sun

Did you know it's very cold
Pushed into a smaller mould
A mould of the other people you
smother with a suffocating cover

I hope your guilt will get you back

My mirror image isn't real
The glass you shattered on me I can never heal
I'm a broken heart, clenching, rotting my own skin
Yet you're the one to blame for the pain I was in
